Main window : Edit > Format > Change Fileheader Sampling Frequency / Time Expansion
|
|
This tool allows modifying the sampling frequency (fs) attribute stored in the header of the sound file.

In addition to that, a time expansion factor can be specified. This factor is multiplied with the sampling frequency of the sound file in order to compensate the slowed-down time scale of recordings made using traditional time-expansion bat detectors.
Note that the time expansion factor does not affect the playback speed of the sound file.
The resulting sampling frequency (fr = fs * time expansion factor) shown at the bottom of the dialog box is used for all measurements and time and frequency axis labels of waveforms, spectra and spectrograms.
